Product editor

On this page, you can set and edit the parameters and configurations of a specific product and all its possible variations.

At the top-right corner of this page, you can find two iconst:

  1. Configuration: Clicking on this icon will open this product configurator simulation.

  2. Save: You can click on this icon to save your changes.

This page is it's organized into 5 menus:

General

  • Title: The name of this product.

  • Brand: From what brand is this product.

  • Short description: A brief text that will be shown on the Configurator and Shopping bag in Stores and Online Stores.

  • Long description: An unshortened text describing the product.

  • Mode: Gives you 2 options.

    • Single Product: For products that don't have variations and can't be customized.

    • Variable Product: For products that have variations and you can offer in various configurations.

  • Currency: The currency in which you purchase this product.

  • Inventory Mode: Gives you 2 options.

    • Sell out of stock: To continue selling this product through your Store and Online Store even if you don't have this product in stock.

    • Activate inventory: to avoid breaking stock and having demand you can't fulfill.

  • Purchase Method: Set as an Asset if you have paid this product to have it in stock, or set to Memo if you will pay your provider once you sell this product.

  • Type: Choose what type of jewelry piece this product fits in. Depending on your selection, the Specific type field will appear to its right.

  • Specific type: Shown as, for example, Bracelet type, if the previous field Bracelet was chosen. Sets the specific style of your product.

  • Effective at: The date on which this product will be made available to your customers.

  • Display mode: Only visible in Variable Product Mode. Gives you 3 types.

    • Icons: Options will appear as separate icons one next to the other.

    • Lists: Options will appear within a dropdown menu.

    • Defined by attribute: Options will appear depending on their individual settings.

  • Inscription Selector: If enabled, customers will be able to add an inscription text on the product.

  • Product Details: If enabled, extra information like metal weight, total carat weight, dimensions, and other details will be shown to the customer below the product configurator.

  • Tags: Here you can enter words to keep them as tags, as a help for finding this product in the future.

Details

Only visible in Single Product Mode.

Here you can find some fields to let 2Shapes know important data, such as the stock of this product price, dimensions, and weight among others:

  • Inventory:

    • SKU: A code to help you identify this product. It's generated automatically, but can be customized by typing in your own text.

    • GTIN: The Global Trade Item Number is an identifier for trade items, which can help you find this product.

    • Barcode: The number in the barcode of this product, if any.

    • Article: The ID to identify this product from other variants, if any.

    • Stock: The amount of this product you have in stock.

    • Delivery Days: How many days does it take you to get more stock of this product.

    • Additional description: An extended description displayed below the Short Description.

  • Pricing:

    • Purchase Price: The price you pay to purchase this product from your supplier.

    • Retail Price: The price you offer this product to your customers (including your profit margin, and excluding sales tax).

  • Weight:

    • Net weight: The total weight of this product in grams.

    • Metal weight: The weight of only metal from this product in grams.

    • Diamond weight: The weight of only diamonds from this product in carats.

    • Other Stones Weight: The weight of other gems of this product in carats.

  • Dimensions:

    • Height: The height of this product in millimeters.

    • Width: The width of this product in millimeters.

    • Depth: The depth of this product in millimeters.

    • Thickness: The thickness of this product in millimeters.

Only visible in Single Product Mode.

Here you can find the images this product will display.

You can add images by clicking on the Select photos from gallery button at the top-right corner of this menu. This will open a new window where you can navigate your Galleries labels, and click any images you want to add to your product. Click on accept to continue editing the product.

You can reorder images by dragging and dropping them in the position you want them to be.

Attributes

Only visible in Variable Product Mode.

In this menu, you can manage what options your customers will be able to choose from in order to customize this product. This will open a new window where you can define some parameters for the Attribute:

  • Name: The title this attribute will be displayed as.

  • Type: What type of configuration this attribute changes.

  • Display mode: Here you can choose List, to display its options on a dropdown menu, or Icon to display the options one next to the other.

  • Variant mode: Include, to make 2Shapes take it into account when generation variations of this product, or Exclude if you don't have the need.

  • Short Description: An additional description to guide your customer, and explain what this attribute represents.

You can add more Attributes by clicking on the New attribute button at the top-right corner of this menu.

Variables

Only visible in Variable Product Mode.

With this menu, you can manage all the variations of this product, you can find all the currently generated variations below, and icons on the top-right corner of this menu that do the following:

  1. Set as favorite: Makes the selected variant the one displayed by default.

  2. Select photos from gallery: Opens a new window where you can navigate your Galleries labels, and click any images you want to add to your selected variants. Click on accept to continue editing the product. You can reorder images by dragging and dropping them in the position you want them to be.

  3. Unselect: Click on this icon to stop selecting variables.

  4. Select all: Selects all variables.

  5. Select invert: Selects unchecked variables, and unselects checked variables.

  6. Generate all variants based on attributes: Generates variants taking into account the Attributes set to Include.

  7. Validate all variants based on attributes: Check all variants and marks the ones using outdated Attributes as invalid.

  8. Edit: Opens a window where you can change the Details of the selected variants. For more information on the Details fields, refer to this section.

  9. Enable deletion mode: Deletes selected variants.

  10. Variables: Displays all the generated variables.

  11. Default: It allows to know which variable will be displayed by default.

  12. Images: Show the different images for each variable.
