When entering the studio, the element list is empty. The first step is to press the "Create a new element" button or press the "N" key on the keyboard. From there, it is possible to create an element from a basic one or modify an existing element using the 2Shapes Elements library. This time, we will create an element based on a basic one.

To do this, click on the + icon. This button will open a pop-up window displaying the different types of elements. The elements are divided into three groups: Shanks, Diamonds and Gemsets, and Other Elements.

Shanks

Shanks are elements that represent the main parts of a ring, such as a band or a shank. They form the foundation on which the ring design is built and can have different shapes, styles, and details. We can start with three types of shanks: classic, cathedral, and signet ring.

Diamonds and Gemsets

Diamonds and Gemsets refer to elements that represent the precious gemstones or diamonds used in jewelry designs. These elements allow you to incorporate and customize the placement of diamonds or gemstones within your designs and also allow you to select the desired type of gemstone setting and customize it according to your preferences.
